The North Face Continues Expansion with Third Concept Store in Hong Kong

Grand opening at Hysan Place celebrated with an iconic capsule debut by The North Face and INVINCIBLE®

Hong Kong, 2 December 2022 - On the heels of previous Concept Store openings in K11 Art Mall in Kowloon and New Town Plaza in the New Territories, The North Face today continues its expansion with the opening of an Exploration Concept Store in Hysan Place. The first Concept Store on Hong Kong Island, the new space offers both on- and off-mountain collections and is home to the city's first TNF Lab. Debuting with the grand opening of the North Face Exploration Concept Store at Hysan Place is the latest brand crossover with INVINCIBLE®, bringing to life a "TIME TRAVEL" capsule.

Located in the heart of Causeway Bay, the new Exploration Concept Store boasts a substantial shopping space of 3000 sqft. Offering a one-stop shopping experience, the store carries an extensive range of collections from Mountain Lifestyle and Urban Exploration to Mountain Sports and a kids range. Upon entering the store, visitors are welcomed by the classic brand motto “Never Stop Exploring” sitting against a terrain wall. The store facade is equipped with digital screens to showcase the latest product collections in a dynamic way.

The store will also house Hong Kong’s first TNF Lab - an experiential zone for shoppers to immerse themselves in outdoor exploration. Designed with a camping theme, the TNF Lab offers a cozy campsite setup complete with camping chairs and cushions, a camping table and props including a stove, camping light and hangers to create that outdoor adventure vibe. This zone is also decorated with bespoke wooden tiles featuring contour maps of Hong Kong Island, specifically paying homage to two of the city's iconic trail routes: the Wilson Trail and Hong Kong Trail. The TNF Lab offers a space to hold workshops and events, as well as to build a community among explorers.

Continuously evolving a classic design concept, The North Face has joined hands with INVINCIBLE® for a fourth time to bring the “TIME TRAVEL” capsule to life - a collection that traverses time and space. In this crossover, The North Face and INVINCIBLE® take the path of a time traveller, going back to revisit classic designs as they explore the fashion of the future. To interpret the concept of “TIME TRAVEL”, INVINCIBLE® teamed up with renowned Brand Creative Director and Designer Shinsuke Nakada to deconstruct and recreate The North Face’s timeless classics, combining street fashion elements and outdoor exploration design details with a loose fit.

Starting December 3rd, The North Face x INVINCIBLE Collection launches exclusively at The North Face Concept Stores in Hysan Place and K11 Art Mall¹. The Collection is limited and available while stocks last.

From the mountains to the streets, The North Face NUPTSE has been a favorite for three decades. Celebrating this milestone, the brand launches The North Face 30th Anniversary Edition NUPTSE Collection, available at the Hysan Place Exploration Concept Store. Restoring the original silhouette of the very first NUPTSE edition in 1992, The North Face 30th Anniversary Edition NUPTSE JACKET comes in classic black or red, each with a matching cloud illustration to convey the spirit of mountain climbing. With its lofty 700-fill down for maximum warmth and a DWR water-repellent finish, the jacket provides the ultimate function for explorers. The collection also includes long-sleeved T-shirts and hooded sweaters which highlight the extraordinary heritage of the NUPTSE series that has upheld the spirit of exploration.

From now until 7 December, The North Face presents "The Way to NUPTSE" - a giveaway to celebrate 30 years of NUPTSE. To enter, customers must first become an XPLR member and share their personal story featuring The North Face jacket on the giveaway page. Participants will have a chance to receive either The North Face NUPTSE Bear (valued at HK$990) or The North Face ICON badge (valued at HK$420 per set; each set contains 6 styles).

Also debuting at the Hysan Place Exploration Concept Store is The North Face Cole Navin ski series spanning both Mountain Sports and Lifestyle. Based on the Freeride series, The North Face teamed up with the snowboarder and artist to combine The North Face's iconic style with an artistic take on exploration in the snow to design a range of performance ski apparel and accessories. This striking collection features bold cascading blue and white color tones inspired by vast glaciers. Together with a powerful contrast of black, white and red, this series is a classic revamped with new energy, perfect for ski lovers and those with a true passion for adventure and exploration.
