Contractors demolished a building on Forest Avenue that began collapsing last week. The structure, located at 571 Forest Avenue, had been vacant for some time. No one was injured. According to Bellevue Code Enforcement Officer, Shawn Jacobs, the building had been recently purchased and was undergoing some renovation. The back half of the building began to give way and the structure was continuing to fall apart. The borough immediately evacuated the adjacent properties and cordoned off the area.
